Silly Tidbits of DisnyeLand

So, I am working as a Temp for the second week in a row and there is a die-hard Disney Fanatic that sits near me! I love him! It is so fun to hear all the little tidbits of the place often referred to as the 'Happiest Place on Earth!' So to start with do you all know of '33'? It is a door in the facade of a storefront in the  restaurant the Blue Bayou. You can only get into it by special invite and/or paying a membership fee! The illustrious Mr. Disney had an apartment in the Firehouse at Disney and when he was staying in it, the light would be turned on. He also had a fire poll he would slide down from his apartment. But the little rascals that attended that first year would climb UP the poll and explore his apartment, not knowing it was a private resident. Now that light of the Firehouse is left on continuously to honour W.D. To fight the mouse problem, funny that the place built around a mouse has a mouse problem, they brought in a few cats that would hunt at night. Now there are over 200 'feral' cats from those original felines. Also, when Walt first started doing vignettes or movies of Mickey, people would come by the studio wanting to meet the Mouse. What an innocent time, right? Well, Walt had a small car built and would park it in M.Mouse parking spot and tell people he was working. Or they would move the car and say he wasn't on the lot right now! Do ever wonder why Donald Duck and Daisy are Huey, Luey, and Duey's Aunt and Uncle but aren't married. D.Duck had a twin sister only spoken about a couple of times. We only know what she looks like because he has said , wearing a wig, he looks like his twin. Well his sister married Daisey's brother who only has been mentioned once. The 'kids' had lite a rocket or some such device under his chair and he went to the hospital. Okay, not really a blog but I found these things kind of fun. So enjoy the 'President Day' if your in the States. And the rest of you have a great start to the week!
