Hi Ya'all

Hi Ya'all, it is me shouting out to you from North Carolina! Our lives went haywire about 6 weeks ago. Wednesday was the day were we started our count down to moving. WE time lined out with the information we had of having 5 days to pack up the house, 3 days to clean it up for moving, and then fly to our signing with our over night duffel bags and pooch in hand to our much anticipated home that we were going to "Chip and Joanne" the heck out of with our new pocket full of cash. Exciting Adventures!

We all know that nothing goes according to plan but one ALWAYS hopes! Wednesday night we received the news that we had to be across country by Tuesday morning. The flights we thought we had were now topping $1500.oo without the pooch. We also had to have the doggy checked out for flying and found out he has an eye condition that needed 2 visits to the Vet starting Thursday. And our truck was to leave Monday but do to time issues it had to be gone from our house by Friday afternoon! Looooooonnnng story not short, we ended up having 2 days to pack our 3700 square foot house, one day for move-in ready cleaning, and driving the car we were going to sell across country, leaving Sunday morning and arriving Tuesday night...duffel bags, pooch, and extras included. (Couldn't have done it without my parents and my brother Kraig!)  WE were blessed to make it through without medication, falling into drink, or overeating sugar! We stopped at some funky places and learned as you enter the middle of America, a large amount of gas stations offer "pet areas" with fences and accouterments  for canines. We also found many were packed with funky things like car museums, home made pickles, and southern delicate see such as Liver Mush, look up and gag.

We drove across America, pockets a bit more emptier, just in time to sign our lives away for a new abode that was going to look exactly like we wanted it too, magazine cover extraordinaire!
We knew that via the inspections that we might have a few issues other then cosmetic but we had done research and spoke to a few pros and felt comfortable that most of our profit from our old house could cover it and more!

Wha? Hold up! You tellin' me that PEopLE actually hide things that they shouldn't when selling a house? Yepo, we found out that these people jerry-rigged the house to hide things s the inspector would be able to see ALOT but not all. An example? Well the doors on the rooms upstairs don't fit the door ways. Who would think to look at closing existing doors to see if they actually fit. MOST human beings buying , inspecting, etc would rightfully assume that the doors to the rooms actually fit. Now before you go and start a judgin' me, I will let you know we only got to see the house 2 times during the early evenings. (We were in town trying to buy a house in a very short time and unfortunately our original Realtor sucked....2 days before leaving town we found a new one and walked through the house.) The house had issues, still love it, but had/has issues. That is for another time. We arrive Wednesday and sign, get the keys, meet our some of our children and start the reno! BTW Christmas was 6 days away...………………………………………

Now this is my journey, living in the South, fixing my "money pit", and learning a new way of life. Is there more to my story? You bet....is it too much for one blog post, for sure! I have had to start a "new" life that includes changes in absolutely everything from how I shop, interact, make decisions, etc etc. Though I have not partaken of it, have some sweet tea and sit back. There is more to come.

Go and do and be careful what you pray for!
